summer scrambler

A Seven Cycles and Summer collaboration incorporating 25 years of innovation and craftsmanship. Our aim was a race winning combination of sharp but predictable handling, a robust and snappy rear end for climbing, wheel and tire versatility for a wide range of riding and racing from dirt crits to long days on the bike. In short, its nimble, planted, fast and fun!

Chopped one inch chainstays

Chopping the right side chainstay lets us squeeze as much tire into the rear triangle as we can while allowing us to run the gears we like.

Oversized T47 BB

Keeping the BB area stiff for punchy power climbs and stabilizing the bike for fast downhills and confident cornering.

Wheel / Tire versatilty

Clearance, clearance, and clearance. Run 27.5in or 29in wheels and anything between a 27.5x2.1 knobby or a 700x43c gravel race tire.

Did we already talk about oversized?

Keeping with the program we spec’d a larger than normal downtube that pairs with the 44mm headtube to provide a robust “spine” for the bike. This keeps the bike predictable and the handling crisp.

XX lightening

By extracting every gram we didn't need through judicious tube selection, aggressive tube butting, oversized internal breather holes, asymmetric dropouts and stays, we saved 7 ounces over an Evergreen PRO.

Race-optimized Ti/carbon frame

The carbon tubing lightens the whole package and incorporates some race worthy stiffness. Every tube here is chosen deliberately to balance speed with just enough compliance to keep the rider planted on the bike.
